Posted on 29 Sep 2008 by Ana
OMG!!! She looks so amazing!!! In just a few days of turning 38, Kelly shows the world (again) that there you can be in shape at any age!!! This is must have!!
On this issue, Kelly also reveals that she is now getting into the cooking: "I’d say 99 percent of my cooking, I’ve either learned from the guest
chefs on the show or from watching the Food Network while I’m on the
treadmill,” (...). “Emeril [Lagasse] introduced me
to mirepoix, which is a simple combination of chopped celery, carrots,
and onion sauteed in butter or oil. It gives soups, stews, roasts
everything a rich, delicious flavor. My pasta sauce tastes amazing
now.”
Plus she also talks on her daughter Lola and her fun workout!

Kelly on First Magazine
Posted on 18 Sep 2008 by Ana
On the importance of spending time alone: "I try to run
everyday in the park. It's crucial to know who you are and how you
feel. I find that I'm a better wife and mom if I take a half hour for
myself every day. It can feel selfish, but it makes a big difference.
If you don't do it, you'll feel overwhelmed and resentful. You want
people to feel they can count on you. I feel they can when I take care
of myself."
To see what Kelly said about her upbringing, read more.
On her traditional family life: "Marriage and having kids
really agrees with us. Mark helps with homework, while I'll do a baking
project for school. We look at each other and think, if our friends
could see us
now, they wouldn't believe what we've become! We really enjoy what our
life has developed into. I try to do it all, and I don't do any of it
particularly well. But at least I try. Sometimes the cookies get burnt,
but what are you going to do?"
Remembering her well-rounded upbringing: "My mother was way
ahead of herself in terms of creative expression. Mom thought it was
important for us to have music and dance lessons. There were times when
I told her that I wasn't going to have time to do all my homework, and
she would say, 'Well, I think it's more important that you're
well-rounded.' She definitely struck the right balance."
Taking a night out for herself: "During the summer, we do a
once-a-month girls' night out. We'll meet for coffee or go to the beach
together with the kids. Our husbands are always like, 'Why can't we
join you?' I'm like, 'Um, it's called girls' night out. Why don't you
have your own night out?' "

Kelly likes to do laundry
Posted on 18 Sep 2008 by Ana
"September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and to help draw attention, Electrolux is teaming up with Kelly Ripa and the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund to help fight back. OK! recently spoke with Kelly about the cause that has become dear to heart, how chores are done in her house and how she keeps in shape. On her work with Electrolux and the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund: About six years ago I was asked to host an Ovarian Cancer [Research Fund] fundraiser out in the Hamptons - Super Saturday - [and] it was so successful, we raised a lot of money. I realized after that that I didn't know very much about ovarian cancer. Not one, but two friends of mine were diagnosed and I made it my thing, my cause, my mission, to raise money and awareness.... [The message of the OCRF]is early detection, looking for early warning signs, being in tune with your body and, of course, raising as much money as possible to eradicate the disease, which is where Electrolux comes into play.
They've been very devoted to helping us raise money and very generous and they've got these great new appliances which are in the color of Ovarian Cancer Awareness - turquoise - and every time you buy a washer or dryer they donate the money to OCRF.
On who does the household chores in her house: I am the laundress around our house. I've always been. I do the best laundry. I like to do laundry, I find it theraputic, it doesn't bother me. I'm very good at keeping my whites white and my darks dark and I enjoy it.
How her kids help out: They all have to make their own beds - the little ones are pretty good at it. My older boy has dishwasher and trash - so he has dish detail and he has to unload the dishwasher. They're really good, I have to say.
What she loves about Physique 57, the exercise class she takes: It is using your own body's resistance. You use a ballet bar and its physically demanding but its about building muscle and stretching it out. It's a lot of yoga and pilates mixed with weights set to disco music, and I love it. It's the fastest hour of your life. You don't even realize that you've exercised, you just have the best time.
Foods she stays away from to stay fit: I try to do everything in moderation. I don't deprive myself of anything, but I'm not really into sweets that much. I'm not willing to give up anything, and that's why I like to exercise, so I don't have to."

Posted on 03 Sep 2008 by Ana
I got really excited when I got this email from Ashley N."Today, in honor of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, America’s favorite Mom, Kelly Ripa, unveiled a new premium laundry collection from Electrolux in New York City on Wednesday, September 3rd. Ripa announced that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of new Electrolux “Turquoise Sky” washers and dryers, inspired by the brightly-hued ribbon that symbolizes the fight against ovarian cancer, will benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, as part of Electrolux’s commitment to raise more than $500,000 over the next two years." I added the following pictures to the gallery. Also cortesy of Ashley N!

Deleting candids from Gallery
Posted on 01 Sep 2008 by Ana
Today I caught myself thinking "If I was famous and people took pictures of my kids would I enjoy them to be posted on a random fansite"... and my immediate answer was no... Therefore.. and to protect Kelly Ripa's kids (who have a normal life) I'm going to remove the pictures of them from the gallery (paparazzi photos). I'm also considering removing candids of Kelly aswell... We love Kelly 24/7... but she also has a life outside "Live with Regis and Kelly" and I'm here to support her career... I'm also working on a forum and a small section dedicated to her, also actor husband... on that forum candid pictures will be allowed... I hope you all understand this decision and please email me or comment with your opinion...

Kelly Ripa for Ok Magazine
Posted on 30 Aug 2008 by Ana
This is kinda old but very interesting anyway :)
Kelly Ripa and Buzz Aldrin suit up for the premiere of Fly Me To The Moon held at The Regal Union Square in NYC.Kelly voices a fly in the first-ever 3D cartoon, which is in theaters Friday. As she strides through with hubby Mark Conseulos in tow, she points to the cartoonish movie poster. “That’s not me, but I look just like that,” she laughs. On her way up the escalator, she takes a few questions. What was it like working with Nicollette Sheridan, who also lends her voice to the flick?“We’re alone in like a soundstage so I didn’t really get to meet anyone,” Kelly says. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin seconds that thought. “I wish I had worked with Kelly,”
he says wistfully, adding that he’s a big fan of her’s. “I was in there
all by myself walking towards the camera and reciting her lines.”Buzz says Tom Hanks is the celeb he’d most like to take to the moon. “He and I see eye-to-eye,” Buzz says. “He goes to Sun Valley and skis up there along with the governor – Governor Schwarzenegger. No, Tom
really appreciates what I do in space and I certainly appreciate what
he does for space in all his acting and everything he does. He’s a neat
guy. He portrays the character he portrays in a way that I’m real happy
about that. The other guys may not be so happy about it.”He also wants Reese Witherspoon to play his wife in a movie he’s working on about his post-Apolllo trials and tribulations.“Lois, my wife, had big designs on Reese Witherspoon because she plays such a similar part in Walk The Line.”
Why? “My experience with space flight was one of not being very
productive for quite awhile with depression and alcoholism. I tried to
recover from that, and I ran into her afterwards. I was already
straightened up.”On the way into the theater, we catch Kelly and Mark being arranged for pix near the popcorn station. Ha ha ha. Source: Ok Magazine

Kelly Ripa's Milojo adds exec trio
Posted on 03 Aug 2008 by Ana
"Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have added creative mojo to Milojo, the New York production company they recently founded, with the hiring of three execs.
Former "Live With Regis & Kelly" producer Albert Bianchini has been tapped VP of production and development, while former William Morris TV department denizen David Easton has been hired as director of development. Christina Georgotas, another former "Regis & Kelly" staffer, joins Milojo as creative executive.
Founded last year, Milojo has a first-look deal with TLC for nonscripted programming. Consuelos and Ripa, meanwhile, have collaborated as exec producers on sports docu "The Streak," which aired on ESPN2, as well as "The History Hunter" for the History Channel and "Soap Scum" for the CW."

"Kelly Ripa: One Proud Mama!"
Posted on 03 Aug 2008 by Ana
"Kelly Ripa can hardly contain her pride. The Live With Regis and Kelly host voices a cartoon character in the new film Fly Me To The Moon, and was able to get her son Michael, 11, in on the action.
"Oh, it was so much fun," the daytime diva, 37, told OK! at the premiere of Fly Me To The Moon at The Regal Union Square in NYC on Thursday. "To hear my little boy as such a little boy, before his voice has gotten so much deeper, was great." Fly Me To The Moon tells the story of three young houseflies who board the Apollo 11 flight to the moon. Michael makes his big screen debut with a small part as a fly in the first 3D animated movie ever created.
We bet her other kids, Lola, 7, and Joaquin, 5, are clamoring for their shot at stardom! Maybe dad Mark Consuelos, 37, can pull some strings when he guest stars on Ugly Betty?

Mark doesn't want to replace Regis
Posted on 24 Jul 2008 by Ana
We all notice that Mark Consuelos hosts "Live with Regis and Kelly" a lot latelly next to his wife Kelly Ripa, but he doesn't want to replace Regis he says on an interview for In Touch last week: "I couldn’t sustain it day in and day out, and I don’t want to be the one responsible for taking that show off the air.”He also adds that it wouldn't be good for their marriage. "I'm really good at ticking her off! Plus, the great thing about two people who don’t live together doing
the show is that they have different points of view and things to talk
about. I hope Regis stays for a long time!” Mark also said that Kelly makes hosting a live show look so easy and they host it together sometimes since 2001.

Posted on 11 Jul 2008 by Ana
An huge thank to Jody F for the tip! Make sure you buy it!!
"In this week’s "Page Six Magazine," talk show host and super mom Kelly Ripa shares how she juggles marriage, three kids, and her job as co-host of “Live with Regis and Kelly,” while managing to keep her body in tip-top shape and the secret behind that trademark smile.
She confesses her one complaint about hottie hubby of 12 years Mark Consuelos: “He wakes up gorgeous. I wake up like a looking like a Chihuahua.”
And even though she’s always on some magazine’s “Best Body” list, Kelly self-deprecates: “Anybody can look good from 700 yards away.”
The former cheerleader from Voorhees Township, N.J. also talks about life when she’s not on stage with co-host “Reege” – a healthy schedule of shuffling kids from soccer to piano lessons, and everywhere in between. “I want to take my kids to their things,” she says. “I want to see that.”
For more on Kelly, pick up "Page Six Magazine," free inside Sunday’s New York Post. "

Kelly can't live without her mobile phone!
Posted on 26 Jun 2008 by Ana
On 5th June 2008 Kelly said on Live that she can't live without her
mobile phone! She admits that she feelt helpless when she lost her
mobile phone! "My cell phone has all sorts of everything" she said. Realizing
in the midst of her panic that she couldn't call her friends to see if
they had her phone because their numbers were stored in it! Thankfully
there was a happy ending to this story, as Lola Consuelos came to the
rescue and used her tiny arms to grab Kelly's phone that was wedged
between the car seat and the gear shifts.

"Fly me to the Moon" out in 8th August
Posted on 26 Jun 2008 by Ana
"This summer Fly Me To The Moon, a complete 3-D Animated Family Film, opens August 8th. Fly Me To The Moon stars the voice talents of Kelly Ripa, Nicolette Sheridan, Christopher Lloyd, Ed Begley, Jr., Tim Curry, Trevor Gagnon, Philip Daniel Bolden, David Gore, Adrienne Barbeau, Robert Patrick and Buzz Aldrin, as himself. I haven’t heard or seen Adrienne Barbeau in some time or Ed Begley, Jr. I look forward to seeing how Kelly Ripa adds her voice talent to the movie. The story sounds charming as it centers on three young flies set off on a courageous mission to become the first insects on the moon by hitching a ride on the historic Apollo 11 space flight. Based on the actual transcripts and the original blueprints from NASA, the film’s stunning visuals and meticulous attention to detail introduce a whole new generation to the awe-inspiring achievements of the space program’s most momentous mission. The year is 1969 and like everyone else in the world, Nat (Trevor Gagnon) and his pals IQ (Philip Daniel Bolden) and Scooter (David Gore) are abuzz over the upcoming launch of the first manned mission to the moon. Inspired by his Grandpa’s (Christopher Lloyd) oft-told tale of hiding aboard Amelia Earhart’s plane during her famed solo cross-Atlantic flight, Nat hatches a secret plan for the three young flies to stow away on the Apollo 11 rocket. The hard part is keeping the plan secret from his mom, Mrs. McFly (Kelly Ripa)!"
